Women's participation in the labor market plays an essential role in economic development and strengthening social progress. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected unprecedented challenges for women's participation in the labour market. This article examines the effect of the covid-19 epidemic on the supply of women's labor in Iran. We used the survey data set published by the Statistics Center from 2017 to 2020 to assess the disproportionate effects of the recession caused by the coronavirus epidemic on women's job search duration and employment probability in Iran. To estimate the results, Ordinary least squares and logit models were used. The findings indicate that women allocated more time to search for suitable jobs during the coronavirus epidemic to before the epidemic. Additionally, the likelihood of women being employed during the Covid19 epidemic compared to men has slightly decreased compared to two years before this pandemic.
