Abstract

One of the conventional methods to check the economic boom and recession is to use the cross-sector capital matrix. This matrix is one of the important components of the national dynamic input-output table. However, due to the unavailability of the capital matrix at the national level, it is practically not possible to carry out this type of analysis. Therefore, the current research has extracted the inter-sector capital matrix with the help of available data and by presenting some simplifying assumptions due to the absence of statistical data. The purpose of the current research is to investigate the economic boom and recession with the help of inter-sector capital matrix. Therefore, the dynamic input-output tables for the years 2011 and 2016 have been extracted from the static input-output tables of the same years. The results show that we have seen economic prosperity in both years.
